Ounce for ounce, clay is one of the most cost efficient and environmentally conscious ways to reduce moisture damage during shipping and transport of a product. They prevent corrosion and mildew by ADSORBING moisture from the air of an enclosed space - In moisture-sensitive production, 16-unit clay desiccants maintain ideal conditions and prolong shelf life for products in storage rooms.
The single 80 unit pouch comes sealed in a reusable 16" x 24" ZipSeal barrier bag.
The term "unit" refers to the quantity of desiccant that can absorb 3 grams of water vapor at 20% relative humidity or 6 grams of water vapor at 40% relative humidity level. This ~5 lbs pouch is a 80 "unit" bag of Clay desiccant.
