This high moisture barrier lamination structure provides 4.3 mil thick film using a foil layer to keep everything from oxygen to light out of the pouch. Starting with our popular PAKVF4 structure, this film spec gives you a great barrier to cover most commercial uses. For customers who have to be sure, these bags work great with our selection of desiccants to get the pouch environment under control.

Material: This pouch is made from PAKVF4, a lamination of film foil and polyethylene that has a wide range of uses where a high barrier film with a low WVTR (Water Vapor Transmission Rate) is needed. PAKVF4’s high barrier properties make it ideal for packaging hygroscopic items and products susceptible to corrosion. It is frequently used in food or medical device packaging, where very low oxygen levels are required.

We sent one of these MylarFoil bags sealed with 2 SMD reels and a 28g molecular sieve desiccant across the country and back to get real world data on the package environment during the journey. After 4 days, the relative humidity inside the foil bag dropped significantly and, even during the day when the temperature spiked, kept the environmental conditions below target levels.
