Shipping for Large Orders
IMPAK Corporation is an industrial supplier of packaging products to a number of major global companies. A majority of our business is conducted via more "traditional" means (as opposed to web-only transactions) that involve interaction between customers and our Order Processing Team. Our in-house experts are able to accurately calculate freight charges by factoring in the most cost-effective means of shipment, which often includes palletization or crating.
We are proud of the number of customers that we are able to reach and serve through this website and the wide variety of products we are able to showcase here. Occasionally, however, when a customer decides to place a large order (over 150lbs total weight or of large dimensions) through this site alone, the shipping charges for that transaction will not reflect the reality of best practices for calculating freight.
The following are some examples of situations in which this site is unable to accurately assess shipping charges:
- Large sealing machines that require custom crating
- Orders for which total weight requires palletization
- Orders for which the number of cases requires palletization
- Some international orders
In situations such as these, in which the judgement of our expert staff must come into play, it would be foolish to believe that our website can assess accurate shipping charges. If the shipping charge assessed by this website appears too low or too high to be accurate, the savvy consumer should understand that follow-up is necessary.
We urge customers to use this link to contact us if you have questions regarding freight calculations for large orders, especially before placing the order.
