45.5 Gram Orange Indicating Silica Gel DriBox™ (1/pack) - 1494OSB01

The DriBox™ system features a refillable clear plastic desiccant container box and indicating silica gel beads. Features StayDry™ indicating silica gel beads - a granular, porous form of silicon dioxide made synthetically from sodium silicate. Silica gel protects cameras, lenses, computer parts, binoculars, and other items against fungus, mold, and corrosion. These Silica gel beads have had a non-cobalt chloride moisture sensitive color to show progression from dry orange, to green. It is used as a desiccant to remove water vapor via ADSORPTION onto its surface. Rigid plastic container can be opened for fresh desiccant refills. Each DriBox is good for 3 cubic feet - great for safes, gun cabinets and in other applicatinos where a low RH is desired.

Applications: Commonly used with food applications, but is suitable for applications extending into storage, 3D print filaments, shipping and some medical applications. Also can be refilled or renewed by heating Dribox™ in a microwave oven for 15-20 second bursts until color turns from pink to blue (For conventional ovens: 3 hours at 240°F). Pair with a glass jar or one of our foil ziplock bags for a great combination.
