StayDry™ 5A (Ångström) Molecular Sieve (synthetic alumina silicate) beads contain a uniform network of crystalline pores and empty adsorption cavities developed for it's efficient adsorbtion of moisture in a wider range of tempertaures than other common desiccant medias. It is used as a desiccant to remove water vapor via ADSORPTION onto its surface. Absorbs normal (linear) hydrocarbons to n-C4H10, alcohols to C4HgOH, mercaptans (thiols) to C4HgSH. Will not absorb iso compounds or rings greater than C4. These bulk loose beads come sealed for use, and can be used to refill large scale sorbent applications.

Applications: Commonly used in industrial and commercial applications that require strong moisture absorbtion without desorbtion. Will adsorb those molecules having a critical pore diameter of less than five angstroms. e.g.: Methanol, Ethane and Propane. Typically used in regenerable drying systems to remove water vapor or contaminants that have a smaller critical diameter than four angstroms.
