These small, narrow pouches are made from our heavy duty IronShield® material, boasting the maximum barrier properties available in flexible films. The ultra high barrier material is sought after for protecting products that are highly sensitive to moisture and oxygen.

Note: Due to the thickness and robust barrier properties of this material, IMPAK recommends using a dual element heat sealer in order to ensure a reliably high-quality seal. Contact our experts if you have questions about sealer compatibility with this material.

Applications: Food products, electronic components, semiconductors, polymer resins, plastic filaments, APIs / pharmaceutical powders, food testing, medical instruments, vitamins and supplements, biological samples, veterinary products, other products with extreme sensitivity to moisture or oxygen

Material: PAKDRY7500, also known as IronShield®, is a 7.5 mil thick (minimum) high moisture and gas (oxygen, carbon dioxide, et al) barrier film with a dual layer of both 48 gauge polyester and 60 gauge biaxially oriented nylon, providing very high tensile strength and resistance to puncture, making this product suitable for vacuum packaging applications and for very large bags, including cargo container liners. As an FDA approved substrate for food contact, the 6.0 mil MINIMUM metallocene P.E. sealant layer has made this the product of choice for bulk food, fine pharmaceutical powders, and medical device engineering specifications.
