The UROTAINER™ is a unique product designed to facilitate at-home sample collection for medical diagnostics. It consists of a 2" x 2" x 4.75" collapsible box made from water-resistant coated cardboard that is open at the top; sealed inside the rim of the open end of the box is a small polypropylene (PP) bag that acts as a liner inside the box. When opened, the Urotainer™ is a convenient way to collect a sample of urine or other fluids for testing purposes.
When folded down, the Urotainer™ measures 4" x 4.75" and is only 3mm / 1/8" thick. This means that it saves a great deal of space for storage, but more importantly, it can be easily placed in a flat envelope or mailer for easy shipping. As more and more at-home medical testing procedures come to market, the Urotainer™ presents a convenient way to reduce the size of otherwise bulky test kits.
