IMPAK's Engineering Team is constantly pushing the bounds of our vacuum sealing capabiities. So when a major North American power provider came to us for vacuum sealers that would cut costs and boost their efficiency, we got to work. The customer was vacuum sealing soft goods in large bags to be placed on trucks afterward. Standard vacuum sealers not only took a long time to finish a cycle, but the sealed bags were very bulky because the vacuum sealers they were using were of standard strength. The team here at IMPAK provided several options for what we now call our Heavy Duty, High Flow Vacuum Sealer units.

The standard flow rate for most IMPAK vacuum sealers, including the Gramatech line of sealers, is 5 to 6 cubic feet per minute (CFM). This can be stepped up to 10 CFM if a customer chooses the High Flow option for these machines. And if still more vacuum capability is required, IMPAK can add an external pump to deliver 12.4 CFM (110V configuration) or 23.5 CFM (220V configuration). These high flow options are regarded as "what people in the know get" because they dramatically decrease cycle time and deliver a more powerful vacuum than standard sealers. As one of our executives put it, the question is, "How much do you want you sealer to suck?"

"If you understand IMPAK’s capabilities, and if you didn’t get this, get your machine retrofitted to have this.”

“Heavy Duty” isn’t a term we use flippantly. When a machine delivers this much vacuum power, it requires parts that can handle intense vacuum pressure. Our commercial / industrial sealers are built to order in the USA with high quality, precision-machined parts, and all are thoroughly tested for long-lasting performance. We're not shy about saying that a machine from IMPAK will cost more because it's better.

Ask us about how a Heavy Duty, High Flow sealer can benefit your company. If your application involves hydrophilic or moisture-sensitive materials, even specialty powders like tantalum, we have vacuum sealers to fit your needs.
