Side gusset bags are commonmly called coffee bags because they are THE standard for many coffee roasters and producers and are available off the shelf with or without a one-way degassing valve. Available sizes range from 6 ounces to 25+ pounds. Custom sizes, colors, and printing are available - contact us to learn more.

IMPAK's production capabilities for side gusset bags far exceed standard requirements for coffee packaging. Our standard PAKVF4C 5 mil structure is excellent water vapor and oxygen barrier. There are number of applications that this structure and other structures in our list of more than 53 standard materials can be used for.

For side gusset bags, we recommend using a heat sealer that has seal bars or elements on BOTH sides of the sealer to ensure the heat is transmitted through all four layers of MylarFoil material to achieve a hermetic seal. If you don't have a sealer, we carry a small hand held sealer called the Hot Jaw which is great for these types of bags. Please contact a sales associate for more information on how the bags and sealer can be used together.

There are several different styles of side gusset bags, each with its own characteristics. IMPAK produces all of these styles in a variety of sizes and materials, including kraft paper and ShimmerFlex™, and with features such as degassing valves, windows, and tin ties.
